Welcome to Intession Music Tech
The Future of Music Production & Music Business Education
This is a Private Invitation to IMT's Founding Pilot Program
After more than a year of building, planning, and refining behind the scenes, Intession Music Tech (IMT) is finally ready to open its doors through a limited time pilot phase.
Rather than launching publicly all at once, we’re beginning our journey with two hyper intentional pilot cohorts designed to shape the future of the academy alongside our earliest students.
This Allows us to:
  • Work very closely with all of our students
  • Refine curriculums and delivery of programs
  • Maintain a high quality learning environment
  • Build the academy alongside our earliest members
What is a pilot program?
A pilot program is a limited, early version of a program that runs before a full public launch. Its purpose is to test, refine, and validate the experience in real-world conditions with real participants before scaling it. This a deliberate first run, not a beta test and it is not a soft launch.
  • A small, intentionally capped group of participants
  • Designed to prove what works, fix what doesn’t, and sharpen outcomes
  • Operates with higher access, closer support, and more feedback
  • Built to inform the final version of the program before public release

There are only 30 seats available per cohort so there is very limited access
We will be hosting two informative in-person info sessions before the pilot programs begins:
  • Info session #1 - Saturday February 28, 2026
  • Info session #2 - Saturday March 7, 2026
Location - 625 5th Ave New Westminster BC
Time - TBD
The official launch of the IMT Pilot program will begin early spring and start dates for all programs will announced in the near future.

Who We Are & What We Do
IMT provides an affordable alternative education to college music production and audio engineering programs with an emphasis on real time hands-on training from industry professionals, ongoing mentorship and community building.
Our mission is to give musicians, artists and producers the best opportunity possible to make a living and earn an income in the music business. We’re also 100% dedicated strengthening and developing ways to having a significant impact on growing the music economy Metro Vancouver.
IMT has developed a strategically designed learning system that teaches people the most efficient and effective way to learn music production. The system behind how to approach learning the subject itself which is mastering the steps in the process of how to learn music production, not just the fundamentals and the tools.

Implementing our system will allow our students to learn music production skills in half of the time of any other college program or course on the market today.
Our programs and workshops are “bootcamp” style, high intensity training for youth and adults. We offer software and skill specific training in all areas or music production, music business, audio engineering and artist development. Most programs will be offered in beginner, intermediate and advanced levels to ensure that our students receive the education they need at their particular skill level.

What We Have Found To Be The Most Common Challenges Music Creators Face

We have literally obsessed over how to solve the many challenges that all music creatives face at some point of their journey and have based our educational philosophy around providing solutions to all of these common setbacks.
1
Creative & Skill-Based
  • Making music that doesn't sound "professional" no matter how much time is spent
  • Knowing the tools, but not how to use them efficiently
  • Finishing tracks but lacking confidence to release them
  • Being stuck in a loop of tutorials with no real progress
  • Comparing their work to industry artists and feeling behind
2
Direction & Clarity
  • Not knowing what to focus on next
  • Having talent but no clear roadmap
  • Jumping between styles, roles, or goals without traction
  • Feeling overwhelmed by too many options and advice
  • Unsure whether music can realistically become a career
3
Industry & Career
  • Not understanding how the music industry actually works
  • Relying on labels, managers, or gatekeepers for validation
  • No idea how to monetize music consistently
  • Not knowing how to release music properly
  • Lacking professional connections or mentorship
4
Business & Growth
  • Not knowing how to build a real fanbase
  • Posting content with little or no engagement
  • Struggling to brand themselves clearly as an artist or producer
  • Treating music as a hobby when they want it to be a business
  • Confusion around marketing, distribution, and income streams
5
Mindset & Confidence
  • Self-doubt and imposter syndrome
  • Fear of releasing music publicly
  • Feeling stuck despite working hard
  • Burnout from doing everything alone
  • Losing motivation due to lack of progress
6
Systems & Environment
  • Learning in isolation with no feedback
  • No structure or accountability
  • Lack of access to professional environments
  • Not knowing industry standards or expectations
  • Wasting time on things that don't move the needle
  • Too much YouTube & Chat GPT learning
Best case scenario you only a few of these hit home and worst case scenario they all do. Either way, it's important to know that everyone goes through these issues at some point in their development. The good news is that there are practical ways that can be learned to help get you through all of this in a much shorter period of time than youtube learning without direction.

Where The True Transformation Begins
Through over 20 years in the music industry, we've found that true transformation comes through mentorship, hands-on training from industry professionals and access to a well established network of industry professionals.
By the end of taking our full flagship program, students will be:
1
A Confident, Industry-Ready Music Professional
Graduates of our full core program will know how to operate as an qualified industry professional, collaborate professionally, and meet industry standards.
2
An Independent Artist or Producer With Direction
Students leave with a clear path and the skills to release music, build an audience, and move forward without relying on labels or luck.
3
A Creative Entrepreneur in Music
Students become forward-thinking creators who combine music and creative entrepreneurship to build sustainable careers in a modern industry.

How Our Exclusive IMT Pilot Phase Works
IMT is now beginning its public launch through a limited pilot phase. Before opening the academy broadly, we are running two placement-based pilot cohorts to validate our programs, refine the student experience, and ensure we’re delivering meaningful outcomes from day one.
1
Mentorship-Led Learning Model
Personalized guidance from industry experts, focusing on practical application, skill development, and career pathways in music production.
2
Future Expansion
Dedicated classroom spaces will be introduced as IMT continues to grow, ensuring a complete and high-quality learning experience.
Cohort 01: Founding Cohort
  • First group of students to help shape IMT before official launch.
  • Limited availability.
Cohort 02: Building on Foundation
  • Builds on Cohort 01's foundation before the academy opens publicly.
  • Maintains quality and close student collaboration.
This phased approach allows us to maintain quality, work closely with students, and evolve the academy alongside the people who are part of its earliest chapters.

IMT Pilot Program Details
IMT's pilot programs are designed to deliver a focused, hands-on learning experience while allowing the academy to refine curriculum, delivery, and mentorship during the build phase. The details below outline how programs are structured and delivered during the pilot cohorts.
1
Program Structure
Programs run for 10–12 weeks, depending on the specific program and learning objectives
  • One class per week per program
  • Each class is 4 hours in length, allowing for deep instruction, hands-on practice, and guided feedback
  • This structure prioritizes depth over volume and reflects real-world studio workflows.
2
Class Schedule
  • Classes are held during evenings and weekends to accommodate working artists and creators
  • Weekday sessions: Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Weekend sessions: Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Specific class days and times will be communicated after placement and prior to program start.
3
Learning Environment
  • During the pilot phase, classes are held in the IDIO Sound Lab Recording Studio
  • Programs are designed to function fully within a studio-first environment
  • As IMT grows, additional learning spaces may be introduced as part of the academy's long-term expansion
  • The studio environment allows students to learn directly inside professional creative spaces from day one.
4
Instruction & Mentorship Model
  • Most classes will be instructed by two mentors
  • One lead instructor
  • One supporting mentor
  • This model supports:
  • High-quality instruction
  • Individual attention
  • Ongoing program development and refinement
5
Class Size
  • Classes have a minimum of 5 students
  • Classes are capped at a maximum of 8 students
  • Small class sizes ensure hands-on learning, meaningful feedback, and strong group dynamics.
6
Curriculum Flexibility
  • Program curriculums are subject to change during the pilot phase
  • Adjustments may be made by the academy and faculty if they support student learning and progress
  • Any changes will be communicated clearly and made with student outcomes as the priority.

Important — Program Minimums & Start Policy
Please read carefully.
  • Each program requires a minimum of 5 enrolled students to begin
  • If a program does not meet the minimum enrollment requirement:
  • The program will be deferred to Cohort 02, or
  • The program will begin once minimum capacity is met
  • In the event that a program does not proceed as scheduled, a full refund will be issued to enrolled students
  • This policy ensures program quality and fairness for all participants.

What a Typical IMT Class Looks Like
IMT classes are high intensity, boot camp style training. Our programs have a lot of ground to cover in a short period of time. Each session balances instruction, hands-on practice, and guided feedback, ensuring students leave with both understanding and tangible progress they can apply immediately.
Class Flow (4 Hours Total)
While the exact structure may vary by program, a typical IMT class follows this rhythm:
Check-In, Review & Feedback (40 minutes)
  • Review of progress since the previous session
  • Group discussion and feedback on ongoing work
  • Clarification of challenges, questions, or concepts
  • Overview of the day’s focus and learning objectives
This opening segment aligns the group, reinforces learning, and sets direction for the session.
Guided Instruction & Demonstration (1 hour 30 minutes)
  • Live demonstrations led by the instructor
  • Breakdown of techniques, workflows, or creative concepts
  • Step-by-step walkthroughs inside real sessions or projects
  • Q&A woven into the instruction
Instruction is practical, applied, and grounded in real studio workflows.
Break (20 minutes)
  • Time to reset, step away from screens, and recharge
Breaks are built in intentionally to maintain focus and energy for the remainder of the session.
Hands-On Studio Work & Mentorship (1 hour 30 minutes)
  • Students apply concepts directly in the studio environment
  • Individual or small-group work depending on the program
  • Instructors and mentors circulate to provide real-time guidance, troubleshooting, and feedback
This is where most learning and skill development happens.

Mentorship & Support
Private 1-on-1 Mentorship Is Built Into Every IMT Program
At IMT, we don't use the words teachers or instructors, only mentors. This is a massive distinction and is the foundation to our academy's philosophy. Our students don't just learn fundamental real world skills, they're being guided by working professionals who take your goals seriously. Every student receives private, one-on-one mentorship with their instructor to help you find direction, stay focused, and move forward with confidence. This mentorship isn’t optional as It is the foundation of how we educate.
Why Mentorship Matters
Most music programs leave you on your own once class is over. At IMT, we do the opposite.
We believe real growth happens when:
  • Someone understands your goals
  • Gives you honest, industry-relevant feedback
  • Helps you avoid wasting time on the wrong things
That’s why mentorship is built directly into the program and not only as an add-on, not as a group lecture and not as generic advice.
Most pilot program classes will be supported by two mentors:
  • A lead instructor guiding instruction and demonstrations
  • A supporting mentor focused on hands-on support and individual feedback
This structure ensures students receive meaningful attention throughout the session.
What’s Included in the IMT mentorship package:
  • 3 private 1-on-1 mentorship sessions
  • 30 minutes each
  • 90 minutes total
  • In person or via video call
Scheduled across the duration of the program fully tailored to your creative and career goals
How the 3 Sessions Work
Session 1: Direction & Alignment
Early in the program, you’ll meet privately with your instructor to:
  • Clarify your goals
  • Get honest feedback on your current level
  • Identify what to focus on during the program
Session 2: Progress & Feedback
Midway through the program, you’ll check in to:
  • Review your progress
  • Work through obstacles
  • Refine your approach
Session 3: Next Steps & Roadmap
Toward the end of the program, you’ll meet again to:
  • Assess your growth
  • Talk honestly about readiness
  • Map out your next 3–6 months
You leave with direction — not guesswork.
What Makes IMT Classes Different?
A strong emphasis on hands-on training
Small class sizes for meaningful interaction
Immediate application of concepts
Feedback-driven progress

  • Learning environments remain focused and professional
  • IMT can grow sustainably into its official launch

IMT is being built with intention, one cohort at a time and one creator at a time. This pilot program is an opportunity to step into a mentorship-based learning environment where progress is measured by real outcomes and not hours watched or content consumed. If you’re serious about developing your skills, direction, and place in the music industry, we invite you to take the next step and apply for placement. The most exciting part of this pilot program is that the creators who join us now won’t just attend IMT but they will be instrumental in helping to shape what it becomes.

Refund & Deferral FAQ
Understanding our policies on refunds and deferrals is important for all prospective students. Below are answers to common questions regarding program enrollment, cancellations, and changes during the pilot phase.
What happens if my program does not meet the minimum enrollment requirement?
Each IMT pilot program requires a minimum of 5 enrolled students to begin. If this minimum is not met, the program will either be deferred to Cohort 02, or begin once minimum capacity is reached. If the program does not proceed as scheduled, students will be offered a full refund.
If my program is deferred, do I have to continue?
No. If your program is deferred, you will have the option to accept placement in the next available cohort, or request a full refund. The decision is entirely yours.
What if I change my mind before the program starts?
Refund eligibility for voluntary withdrawals will be outlined at the time of enrollment and may vary depending on timing and payment status. Details will be clearly communicated before you confirm your seat.
What if IMT needs to adjust the program structure or schedule?
As part of the pilot phase, minor adjustments to curriculum, class length, or scheduling may occur if they improve student learning and outcomes. These adjustments do not qualify for refunds, as the program is designed to operate flexibly during the pilot phase.
What happens if I can no longer attend scheduled classes?
Are payment plans refundable?
Refunds for students on payment plans follow the same policies as full-payment enrollments and are subject to the terms outlined at the time of enrollment.
How will refunds be processed if applicable?
Approved refunds will be processed using the original method of payment within a reasonable timeframe. Exact timelines will be communicated at the time a refund is issued.
Who can I contact if I have questions about refunds or deferrals?
Questions related to refunds, deferrals, or enrollment status can be directed to IMT during the intake or enrollment process.
